What is IATF 16949?
The standard contains the requirements defined by IATF (International Automotive Task Force) member manufacturers (OEMs). The standard complements ISO 9001:2015 with requirements for the automotive industry. Each associated manufacturer (OEM) additionally defines its own CSR requirements (customer specific requirements). These requirements are an extension of the IATF requirements in sections, which are determined by the manufacturers (OEM), making them more specific, or specifying e.g. reference manuals, technical specifications, internal procedures, etc., to be used. The current CSR requirements of the associated manufacturers (OEM) can be found at: https://www.iatfglobaloversight.org/
